#72 - Spinal Mobility Matters

What if your back pain isn't an issue with the spine at all?  In this episode, I speak with my trusty podcast producer, Tony, all about the spine and how spinal mobility relates to pain, movement, and neural processing.  I go over common history findings and assessments that indicate issues with the spine.  I also go over findings that look like they indicate the spine, but may actually be visceral referred pain from internal organs or processing issues in higher order systems. I address common misconceptions and poor practices regarding spinal health and the importance of addressing root causes.  Finally, I give the listeners ideas and resources on how to improve spinal mobility for a better neural network, less pain, and better movement.  This episode covers topics such as deep tendon reflexes, gait analysis, sensory testing, bilateral muscle weakness, gut health, breathing, the parietal lobe, posture, neck injuries, nerve glides, vestibular drills, steel clubs, and more.

Thank you to my podcast idea man and coach, Tony Fowler (Instagram: @tone_reverie) for helping me put together this episode!
