Quotes from our Mentors: Featuring Igor Burdenko on Sports Psychology

"You won't need sport psychology if you come prepared." ~ Dr. Igor Burdenko

An interesting opinion from a guy who has experienced a lot.

And, it sounds way better in a serious Russian accent!

In the past 5 years, I have encountered a few, really young athletes that told me they were working with a sports psychologist.

The parents thought it was a good idea and they had big expectations for their kid.

I don't have anything against it, really.

However, none of these kids could even balance on one leg.

One thing I have noticed with athletes of all ages is that they often have "too many cooks in the kitchen."

So be aware - are you trying to gain the advantage in one place without being prepared in another?

Consolidate your efforts.

Know what you need and have relentless accuracy!
