A statement that has resonated with me since the beginning.
One of my mentors, Dr. Igor Burdenko, was a true leader in the evolution of our fitness industry. He was exploring the use of body weight, bands and water resistance before our fitness culture was even thinking past sit-ups.
He used to tell me, "if you only use iron to build your body, you will become like iron."
Now if you imagine that coming from an experienced, high-energy Doc with a thick Russian accent, it's even better!
Not much rational behind it. A bit philosophical and eccentric and that's what I like most about my time learning from Igor.
So remember, to become supple, explore additional variables. Teach your tissues to adapt to other modalities and you will earn freedom of movement and a healthier, happy body. Stay soft my friends.
