What is your Visceral System?

Think organs!

"The viscera do not have a dedicated pain pathway to the brain. They share sensory neurons with sensory pathways that carry information from the skin and muscles to the brain. This often results in visceral pain being interpreted as skin or muscle pain." ~ Zhealth Performance

So yes, you can have visceral pain and it not be related to a biomechanical issue.

Visceral pain is often chronic, dull, achey and you can't reproduce it or you have trouble pinpointing it precisely.

The level of pain is not indicative of the severity of the problem.

So, can you address issues with the viscera through movement and exercise?

Absolutely!

It starts with an accurate assessment.

At TMP, we understand how to assess the Visceral System and speak to it through movement!
